Hi! My name is Erin Hobbs and I am officially Sara’s new intern. I just wanted to do a quick post introducing myself, since you all will be hearing a lot from me over these next few months. I am a senior at the University of Washington, majoring in Sociology. You may wonder what sociology has to do with interior design, and the short answer is… not much. However, I am very passionate about design and am absolutely on board with Nest’s philosophy that with a few changes you can love the space you have. I am very passionate about reusing and upcycling the things that you have in order to reduce cost and waste. I am a crafter at heart and I love anything I can DIY, lately I have been teaching myself how to sew and I can’t get enough! To give you an idea of my style, here are a few interior design projects I would love to try!
The wiring for this project seems a little daunting,
but I love the funky vibe of this bottle light fixture!A dishdrainer is a cute way to keep your files organized and accessible.
I would love to make one of these for the kitchen to store coupons,
recipes and shopping lists.
Thanks for reading! Can’t wait to tell you about the furniture designer we are meeting with today, in the meantime you can check out his website here.
