I was driving around behind University Village when something caught my eye– A new home store called Gracious has just opened on Blakeley Street. I love new finds, so I had to check it out!
Gracious is owned by Tracy Reimers and Deirdre Denckla, both whom are extremely helpful and friendly. I spoke with Tracy to find out more about the new place. She describes their products as vintage home furnishings and accessories with personality and modern flair. She says their items have character and don’t look like they came straight from a catalog or a “box store”.
Gracious carries everything you could need to transform your house into home. They have beautiful mosaic tables, dinnerware, candles and even some baby products. I, myself, couldn’t resist a retro-chic black lamp with an apple green lamp shade and bought it right away. Most of the large items are under $200 and the many of the smaller items fall under $30. I love their philosophy: “We are good shoppers, and we like to pass the low price on to our customers.”
They are constantly getting new products, so there is always the possibility of finding something new. Even though they have only been open for a few weeks, they have already replaced nearly half of the store’s inventory. I highly recommend taking a look yourself – Gracious Home 2920 Blakeley Street in Suite C, (206)525-5300. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. Happy hunting!
